The rules, in plain words.
- Developer Distribution AgreementPublishing on Cassette: hosting and selling your games, moderation, the revenue share, payouts and takedowns.
- Content and moderation policyWhat is allowed on Cassette, how we moderate, how to report something, statements of reasons and appeals.
- Content ratingsWhat the ages, content descriptors and interactive features on store pages mean, and who sets them.
- Terms of Service and Terms of SaleThe agreement for playing and buying on Cassette: your account, buying from Cassette, refunds and rules.
- Privacy PolicyWhat data Cassette uses, why, who receives it and your rights.
- The game stays yours
- You give Cassette a non-exclusive licence to host, sell and promote it, and keep all rights. Cassette keeps 10% of the price after tax, and the payment fees come out of your share.
- Not allowed
- Illegal content, malware, using players’ devices to mine or compute, gambling for money, hidden odds on paid random rewards, explicit sexual content, deception and spam.
- Answers must be true
- The store page and the content answers describe the game as it is, and stay up to date. A wrong answer can get a game taken down.
- Review
- Automated checks run first, then a reviewer. Each restriction comes with a statement of reasons, and a person decides every appeal.
- Hosting is for games
- No file hosting, no CDN use, no redirects and no hidden compute.
