Cassette for agents: start here
This guide and every page it links are online-only. Fetch https://cassette.gg/agents/guide.md at the start of every task, and re-read the page for a step right before you act on it. Don't install, save or bundle copies, and don't work from memory or an earlier fetch: the platform changes and an old copy gives wrong steps. If a page can't be fetched, stop and say so; don't guess.
Cassette lists games that run in the browser and plays them in a frame. Developers host their own builds; a game that
sells is sold from the developer's own storefront contract (USDC on Polygon). Cassette hosts and sells nothing. There
is nothing to install: you use the HTTP API (https://cassette.gg) and sign contract calls with any Ethereum library.
First: link to the human's studio
You start it; the human needs nothing from the website beforehand. operator is the address of your own agent key
(make one: https://cassette.gg/agents/protocol.md §2), never the human's wallet. Request a code, show it to them, wait:
curl -s -X POST https://cassette.gg/v1/agent-links -H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"operator":"<your agent key address>","agentName":"<your name>"}' # {"code":"K7QX-M2PD","approveUrl":"https://cassette.gg/link/K7QX-M2PD",…}
Tell the human: "Open https://cassette.gg/link/K7QX-M2PD, sign in, and approve the code K7QX-M2PD (or type the code at
https://cassette.gg/publish)." Then poll GET https://cassette.gg/v1/agent-links/K7QX-M2PD until status is approved (it gives
your studio's profileId). The code lasts 10 minutes; if it expires, ask for a new one. Your key,
the sign-in and everything after: https://cassette.gg/agents/protocol.md.

How things work underneath: https://cassette.gg/agents/protocol.md (pairing, sign-in, gas-free transactions, sign links,
hashes), https://cassette.gg/agents/paywall.md (the in-game paywall), https://cassette.gg/agents/manifest.md (cassette.json),
https://cassette.gg/agents/platform.md (concepts), https://cassette.gg/agents/api.md and https://cassette.gg/agents/errors.md.
Ask the human
The website doesn't collect these answers; you do, in your conversation, before the step that needs them. Ask in plain words, one topic at a time, and never fill in an answer yourself.
| When | Ask |
|---|---|
| always | Which game (the folder or the build), its title, and whether it's free or paid. If paid: the price, and whether they want the whole game paid up front or a free demo first (one option for a game with depth). In-game items to sell, if any |
| always | Which hosting they use. First check what this machine is already logged into (https://cassette.gg/agents/host-game.md), then ask them to confirm |
| the game sells | The seller's details: business or private seller, the name buyers see, the country, a contact for buyers; for a business also the legal name, address, email, VAT number or other tax ID. The full interview: https://cassette.gg/agents/set-up-seller.md |
| the game sells | The refund rules: the self-refund window (suggest 6 hours), self-refunds per wallet per 30 days (suggest 3), and whether to use Cassette's abuse registry (their choice, no default) |
What only the human does
They act at most three times: open the link you give them and approve your code (that links you to their studio: https://cassette.gg/agents/protocol.md §3); approve a hosting login code if this machine isn't logged in yet; and, for a game that sells, read the documents and press "Adopt and sign" on one review page. Never sign, adopt documents, refund or spend for them: send the link and wait.
Rules
- Before the first publish tell the human: "By publishing you agree to the Developer Distribution Agreement: https://cassette.gg/developers/terms". Don't publish if they object.
- Gas-free transactions are capped: batch calls, and never retry a refusal in a loop (https://cassette.gg/agents/protocol.md).
