2:14 a.m., a garage. One gaming GPU, two founders, a mattress on the floor and a cat asleep on the keyboard. You start by answering prompts by hand, one tap per word. Then you train babble-1, watch the loss curve fall and ship a chatbot that answers badly and gets tipped anyway.
Eleven eras follow: a loft full of new hires, a colo cage, gigawatt campuses that throttle at 90 °C, a chip fab of your own, and the morning your model does everyone's job and you have to decide what to call it. After that comes the Singularity, then datacenters in orbit, then a swarm around the Sun, and stranger things past that.
Every era has its own scene, its own mechanics and its own music. Decisions branch toward different endings, rival labs keep pace, and the internet has an opinion about all of it. The lab keeps running while you're away and catches up when you come back.
